Artist Statement:

I have been creating art my entire life. Growing up the child of two artists, in the Chicago city scene, I have been exposed to some fanastic art and creative people. I trained at Knox College, studying their version of New York School expressionism (Willem de Kooning/Jackson Pollock) and it has shaped me into the artist I am. I approach painting and photography very differently - painting is a meditative process where I allow each painting to evolve and develope its own life as I paint and my approach to photography is an attempt to capture those scenes around me that inspire awe or wonder.
